Acer palmatum or Japanese Maple is a small tree, slow growing with small root structure.  It can be grown in container, small space or closer to the building/wall.  They are acid loving plant.  Many variety can be grown in full sun or half day sun and some can be grown in filtered shade/partial sun.   Use acidic soil when you planted the maple.  They like moderatly water so be sure each times you watered, watered well and throughly.  Feeding with japanese maple fertilizer.  Here is the example that we have available, there are so much more in our nursery, varieties may various due to the season and time of the year.

Very similar to bloodgood, some sources said, it is a seedling of bloodgood.  Therefore, the caring and sun explosure will be as similar as bloodgood.  Similar in color except the shape of the leaves if you look closer and it is a little bit more of upright growing habit than bloodgood.

Does well in partial shade, filtered sun, or morning sun in our area.  Slow frowing to 6 or 7 feet tall which can be trimmed back to remain the size.
